Even though the event is listed as one day, it runs for two days. ***** Designed for people who have already got a podcast idea and/or have taken the Podcasting 101 workshop, this is two days of hands-on listening, recording, planning, scripting and editing FUN. You'll leave with a trailer for your podcast and a step-by-step understanding of how to produce and distribute a full season of your podcast. The workshop is two days, Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm and Sunday 10:30 a.m to 3:30 pm. Fees include a delicious lunch on both days as well as tea/coffee. DAY 1: THE CONTENT Hosting a podcast and conducting interviews- the do’s, don’ts and the musts. Planning an interview and/or field recording including equipment set up for remote recordings and Q&A's Working with the elements of storytelling and the elements of sound Examining the best work flow and processes for your show Scripting basics with examples and samples Plus: a breakout hands-on recording session and possibly some (sorry) light homework DAY 2: SHAPING THE CONTENT Working in Hindenburg to grab links Scripting an episode even if it's a Q&A Editing: mixing the trailer with music and voice Listening and feedback. Distribution, set up and the boring admin stuff with best practices. You'll leave with a trailer and the confidence and skills to record, script, mix and disseminate your podcast.
