General rules:

Online Workshops

  1. Attendees are expected to log into Zoom in time before the scheduled time of the event. The Zoom link and password will be email to you well in advance.
  2. If you need to cancel your attendance to an event, you can, we will refund your money if you cancel 2 hours before the meeting. However, a cancellation fee of 10% will be borne by you.
  3. If an organiser cancels the event, we will refund the full amount to you.
  4. Instamojo is our payment partner. Please check out their credentials here - www.instamojo.com
  5. In case you are unable to attend the workshop, and haven't managed to cancel your attendance 2 hours before the workshop, you will be considered as a No Show.
  6. In this case, 50% of the workshop amount would be refunded to you (the attendee) after deducting a cancellation fee of 10%. 50% will be paid to the organiser.


Offline Workshops

  1. Attendees are expected to reach the venue well in time before the scheduled time of the event.

  2. For paid events, the fee includes Rs 300, that you can redeem for F&B at any Doolally Taproom in Mumbai. You will receive it as a code in an email from us, along with your booking confirmation details. However, if you are using a discount coupon code, your fee will not include F&B.
    For free events, we don't levy a cover charge. You can place an F&B order and settle your bill at the end of the event.

  3. You will also be given access to a dashboard. This is where you can contact the organisers or us for more details. You can also cancel your attendance here.

  4. Doolally will bear the 3% payment gateway fees except during cancellations by either the organiser or attendee.

  5. If you need to cancel your attendance to an event, you can, we will refund your money. However, the payment gateway transaction fee of 3% will be borne by you.

Boundless- A Travel Writing Workshop with Janhavi Acharekar
So you want to be a travel writer? Imagine wandering the world, going on adventures and exploring new places every day, and making a living doing so. Through a mix of lectures, writing assignments and audio-visual presentations, experienced travel writer, published author and Conde Nast editor Janhavi Acharekar will take you through her journey as a travel writer, her personal experiences starting out and the lessons she has learned along the way. You will learn how to turn each piece of writing into a cohesive and compelling narrative with a strong focus and a unique perspective. It will be an interactive and engaging session. About the Instructor: Janhavi Acharekar is a writer of fiction and travel. She is the author of the novel Wanderers, All (HarperCollins 2015), a collection of short stories Window Seat: Rush-hour Stories from the City (HarperCollins 2009) and the travel guide Moon Mumbai & Goa (Avalon 2009), the first Indian destination guide published by the American travel book series Moon Handbooks. Her short stories appear in various anthologies of short fiction including the Indo-Australian Fear Factor: Terror Incognito (Picador India 2009/PanMacmillan UK 2010), Only Connect: Short Fiction about Technology and Us from Australia and the Indian Subcontinent (Brass Monkey Books Australia/Rupa 2014) and Glass Walls (Orient BlackSwan 2019). She is also a contributing editor at Conde Nast Traveller India. Her features on travel, books and the arts have appeared in leading publications in India, UK and Canada. She was awarded the Charles Wallace Fellowship at the University of Stirling (UK) in 2009 and has been invited to writers’ residencies in Pondicherry, Denmark and Latvia. She lives in Mumbai, India.
