"Mindfulness." The word is everywhere!
What is mindfulness? What is all the buzz about? Why do I need to practice it? If any of these questions have got you wondering, we are here to quench your curiosity!
Mindfulness is the process of bringing one’s attention to the present moment, and being nonjudgmental of ourselves & our experiences. It may seem inconsequential, but we have all experienced ever so often, that our mind may veer from the matter at hand.
When practiced regularly, it helps us disengage from the automatic programming of the mind and instead be more conscious while engaging in our daily lives, making our experiences richer. It also has various benefits ranging from lowered anxiety, building resilience, dealing with unpleasant thoughts about self & others, and enhancing well-being.
In this workshop, you discover and learn about mindfulness through creative movement, using your body as a vehicle for experiencing. This will be followed by a sharing circle.
