We are Doolally, a scrappy little beer company.

Co-founded by a grumpy German brewmaster and a detergent powder salesman, we opened our first outlet in October 2009.

Doolally means crazy, or at least eccentric. In our case, completely deranged.

The word finds its origins in a small town called Deolali in Nashik, with an unusual claim to fame.

In the 1800s, the British Army established a military base there and soldiers would often wait for months for ships to take them to England. The boredom and heat drove many soldiers a little crazy, and the phrase "Going Doolally" was coined.

Our taprooms have always been about more than just beer and cider.

Our taprooms aren't just ours. They're yours. They're your third space. Not home, not office, but your corner of calm or chaos. It's where group chats finally meet in real life, where date nights turn into stories, where dogs drag their humans in, and where that "one pint" often turns into a whole evening.
